BMC is currently seeking a Senior QA Engineer to join a QE team working on complex and distributed software. In this role, you will be responsible for developing test plans, executing tests, developing automation, and ensuring product quality. As part of this exciting position, you will: - Perform manual tests and develop automation using Python - Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide feedback - Create detailed test plans and test cases - Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities - Collaborate with various teams to ensure quality testing To excel in this role, you should possess: - 8+ years of hands-on Software Quality Assurance experience in software product development - 5+ years of hands-on test case automation development experience using JAVA & Selenium - Experience with tools and programming languages like Selenium, Java, Grails, Gradle, Groovy, z/OS JCL, and Postgres DB - Understanding of scalable application design principles and testing approaches - Proficiency in Agile development methodology and working with virtual teams - Strong experience with version control systems like Git - Familiarity with CI/CD using Jenkins and related scripting for continuous testing - Knowledge of container-based apps on Kubernetes and Docker, as well as OpenShift - Experience with at least one cloud platform like AWS, Azure, OCI, or GCI - Strong documentation, communication, and presentation skills Additionally, it would be beneficial to have experience in: - Working with Gen-AI based applications - Performance testing frameworks such as JMeter At BMC, we value our people and believe in fostering a culture where individuals can be their authentic selves.
