We’re looking for a Senior Backend Engineer who can think like a founder or CTO — someone who loves crafting scalable architectures, optimizing performance, and building systems that thousands of businesses can rely on. Your Role Architect & develop high-performance backend services using Node.js (TypeScript, Fastify, Express) . Build multi-app integrations across third-party platforms (CRM, ERP, communication tools, e-commerce, etc.). Design scalable APIs and event-driven microservices to power AI workflows and automation logic. Work closely with AI, product, and DevOps teams to integrate model inference, vector search, and real-time data processing. Lead system design discussions , evaluate trade-offs, and implement robust architecture patterns (CQRS, Pub/Sub, Clean Architecture). Optimize backend performance with asynchronous patterns , caching, and queueing systems. Drive technical ownership across services — from design to deployment. Participate in code reviews, mentoring, and open-source collaboration . Ensure security, reliability, and scalability of backend systems in production. Requirements Deep expertise in Node.js , TypeScript , and frameworks like Fastify or Express . Strong fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, and system design . Proven experience in multi-app / third-party integrations (e.g., Slack, Shopify, HubSpot, Twilio, Stripe, etc.). Strong knowledge of asynchronous programming , event-driven design , and distributed systems . Experience with PostgreSQL / MongoDB , Redis , and message queues ( BullMQ / Kafka / RabbitMQ ). Solid understanding of authentication, authorization , and API security standards (OAuth2, JWT, etc.). Hands-on experience with Docker , CI/CD pipelines , and cloud environments (AWS/GCP). Excellent debugging and performance optimization skills. Open-source contribution or active GitHub presence is a major plus. Bonus Skills Experience with workflow automation engines (like n8n, Temporal, or Airflow). Understanding of AI integration layers (OpenAI, LangChain, vector DBs, RAG systems). Background in building APIs for multi-tenant SaaS platforms. Familiarity with serverless systems , WebSockets , and real-time streaming APIs . Startup or founder/CTO experience (preferred).
