About the requirement: The company is looking for a self-driven, dynamic candidate to manage the import & export operations of the company as the IOR/EOR service provider. He or she should take the ownership and raise the bar in terms of building knowledge repository of import and export policies and procedures and continuously staying in tune with the latest changes to the procedures. The position offers plenty of opportunities for growth, in addition to working alongside the founding team from the start. About the role: Is the source for driving the import and export operations of the existing and new businesses. The main task is oversee all aspects of import and export and execution of end to end tasks associated with the imports and exports. A very good understanding or knowledge of the import and exports of varied products, customs clearance process, formalities related to forex etc. Ablility to do multitasking and build the team as needed for expansion. Key Responsibilities: · Advising exporters (overseas) on compliance related requirements for the products (such as but not limited to BIS/WPC/SCOMET etc) · Proper HS classification of all import & export goods and ascertaining the correct duties and taxes. · Maintenance of database of all imports and exports at item level. · Assistance to clients in obtaining licenses, permissions or approvals from the authorities to enable import or export. · Compliance with the forex process and realization of funds and coordinating with AD Bank for obtaining the GR waiver where necessary. · Follow through with the export process and submission of relevant documents to bank. · Keeping abreast of all latest changes and developments in the import and export process and procedures and advising the company and the clients in time to take preemptive action. · Ensure all compliances relating to import and export and fulfilled and the company interest are safeguarded. · Interacting with the CHA and customs as needed in clearing the import and export shipments. · Continuously monitoring the regulatory changes and plan to ensure compliance with the changes notified. · Interact with agencies to obtain licenses, approvals, permits or certificates from Government or government bodies. · Coordinating regulatory compliance procedures across organizational structures.
