Retail Operations Manager (Jewellery) Role Overview We are seeking a seasoned and highly mobile Retail Operations Manager to ensure the consistent, efficient, and profitable operation of our multiple jewellery store locations across India. This role demands expert knowledge in diamonds, gold, and silver , a commitment to extensive travel, and proven leadership in managing retail standards, inventory, and sales team training. Key Responsibilities Operations & Inventory Management Multi-Unit Oversight: Directly manage the day-to-day operations and operational standards for a cluster of retail stores throughout India. Stock Control: Implement robust procedures for managing, auditing, and optimizing all jewellery stock (especially high-value diamond, gold, and silver inventory) to minimize loss and ensure product availability. Compliance: Ensure all stores adhere strictly to company policies, visual merchandising standards, and operational best practices. Product Expertise & Sales Strategy Product Authority: Utilize 3+ years of expert knowledge in the quality, sales, and handling of diamond, gold, and silver products to guide store teams and resolve complex customer issues. Sales Enablement: Work closely with store managers to develop and execute sales strategies focused on achieving and exceeding revenue targets across all units. Training & Team Development People Management: Recruit, mentor, and evaluate store managers and sales personnel, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability. Training Implementation: Design and deliver specialized product and operational training sessions, ensuring all staff maintain the highest level of expertise. Diamond Training Advantage: Experience or certification from a Diamond Training Course is a strong preference and will be crucial for developing specialized knowledge. Travel & Reporting Travel: The role requires travel within India to conduct store visits, audits, and leadership meetings. Performance Reporting: Compile detailed reports on operational compliance, inventory accuracy, and store-specific key performance indicators (KPIs) for senior leadership. Qualifications & Requirements Experience: Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in multi-unit retail operations management within the luxury or fine jewellery sector. Expertise: Deep, verifiable knowledge of diamond, gold, and silver product handling and sales. Mobility: Must be willing and able to travel extensively across India. Desirable: Completion of a recognized Diamond Training Course or certification.
