As the Vice President of Production Planning & Control (PPC) at our company, you will play a pivotal role in leading and overseeing the entire PPC function. Your primary focus will be on efficient yarn procurement, inventory optimization, vendor coordination, and aligning production schedules with our business objectives. This leadership position requires you to collaborate with various departments to ensure timely production, cost efficiency, and uninterrupted flow of raw materials across all units. Your key responsibilities will include defining and driving the overall PPC strategy in alignment with our business growth plans, leading and mentoring the PPC team, working closely with top management on capacity planning and cost control initiatives, and overseeing the planning and execution of production schedules based on sales forecasts and market demand. You will also be responsible for developing and executing a strategic sourcing plan for yarn, managing relationships with key suppliers, negotiating contracts and price agreements, establishing inventory norms, monitoring consumption trends, minimizing excess stock, and implementing inventory control systems for real-time visibility and control. In addition, you will coordinate across departments to streamline plant operations, drive OTIF deliveries, monitor production KPIs, troubleshoot supply chain bottlenecks, utilize data analytics for decision-making, generate regular reports for management, ensure compliance with internal controls and statutory requirements, and identify continuous improvement opportunities. To be successful in this role, you should have a Bachelor's degree in Textile Technology, Engineering, or Supply Chain (MBA preferred), along with a minimum of 15-20 years of experience in Production Planning & Control in textile/yarn/fabric manufacturing, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role. You should possess strong technical knowledge of yarns and production processes, a proven track record in procurement strategy and inventory management, excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and advanced Excel/BI tools, and the ability to think analytically and strategically while executing tasks effectively.
