Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a Magento Developer who will be responsible for day-to-day tasks such as developing, testing, and maintaining web applications using Magento. This role involves both front-end and back-end development work, ensuring seamless integration of all e-commerce functionalities. The developer will be expected to work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions and continuously optimize performance. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain Magento 2-based eCommerce applications. Customize Magento 2 themes, extensions, and modules as per project requirements. Integrate third-party services, APIs, and payment gateways. Optimize website performance, scalability, and security. Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing Magento installations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features. Ensure best practices in coding standards, version control, and deployment. Perform unit testing and participate in code reviews. Required Skills & Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience). Proven work experience as a Magento 2 Developer (2–5 years preferred). Strong proficiency in PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, Knockout.js . In-depth understanding of Magento 2 architecture, themes, modules, and extensions . Experience with REST/SOAP APIs and third-party integrations. Proficiency in Git or other version control systems. Knowledge of Linux/Unix environments, CLI, and deployment processes . Familiarity with Agile methodologies and working in a team environment.
