You will be responsible for implementing a new eCommerce web/app experience and serving as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all front-end user experience discussions within the company. Your role will involve leading, coding, building, and testing advanced digital experiences using CSS/Sass, HTML, JavaScript, and React/Native. Additionally, you will be tasked with solving complex front-end engineering challenges, troubleshooting defects, and ensuring the implementation of graceful, accessible, semantically correct, and responsive front-end solutions that work effectively across various browsers and devices. You must guide the implementation of best practices for application design and development, exhibit a strong XP/SCRUM/Agile work ethic, and contribute productively to a fast-paced development team by delivering demonstrable code in two-week increments. It is essential that you are capable of conducting comprehensive unit tests on your code, fostering a healthy and collaborative team environment, and demonstrating a proactive approach to achieving project goals. Furthermore, you should possess proven skills in negotiating timelines and architecture decisions across functional teams, as well as mentoring junior team members to facilitate their professional growth. To be considered for this role, you should hold a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or possess equivalent work experience. You must have a minimum of 5 years of experience as a Front End Developer, with a strong background in CSS/Sass, JavaScript, React, React Native, NPM/Node.js, HTML5, and UI/UX design. Your expertise should extend to understanding microservices general patterns and practices, conducting unit testing using tools like Jest, Karma, and/or Jasmine, and working with build tools such as Webpack and Babel. Proficiency in using SCM tools like Git is also required to succeed in this position.,
