Role & responsibilities Design and configure document classification, extraction, and validation processes using Kofax Capture, Transformation Modules (KTM), or TotalAgility Build intelligent forms and workflows to support L&A operations such as claims intake, new business onboarding, underwriting, and correspondence routing Implement OCR/ICR/OMR models for structured and semi-structured documents (e.g., applications, medical reports, policy change forms) Integrate Kofax with policy administration systems, CRM platforms, ECM tools, and downstream engines (e.g., xPression, ALIP) Automate scanning and document ingestion processes using barcodes, recognition zones, and validation rules Configure workflow logic and business rules to streamline document routing, exception handling, and audit trails Develop custom scripts or plugins for enhanced data handling and transformation Perform testing and quality assurance of extracted data against source values and policy records Deploy Kofax solutions to UAT/Production environments, manage versioning, patching, and rollback strategies Monitor Kofax servers, logs, job queues, and resolve issues in collaboration with infrastructure teams Preferred candidate profile 5 to 12 years of total IT experience with at least 3+ years of direct experience in Kofax Capture, KTM, or TotalAgility Experience in at least one of: Document Design, Data Extraction, Workflow Automation, Integration, QA, or Support Hands-on experience building classification profiles, templates, and extraction rules Familiarity with OCR engines, image preprocessing, validation scripting, and structured output formats (XML, CSV, JSON) Experience in the Life Insurance and Annuities domain especially in document-intensive processes like claims, underwriting, policy changes Knowledge of integration frameworks (REST/SOAP APIs, SFTP, document repositories like OpenText or SharePoint) Exposure to middleware, RPA platforms, or custom SDK integrations Understanding of regulatory compliance for digital documents (e.g., HIPAA, NAIC guidelines) Familiarity with testing tools, version control systems, and production monitoring tools
