Set up, configure, operate, and maintain a variety of HD/UHD video, audio, and communication equipment. Troubleshoot broadcasting equipment issues and communicate with manufacturers for resolutions. Work with radio frequency equipment and antenna systems. Provide technical support on-site during projects and live events. Maintain and upgrade equipment software to meet industry standards. Conduct technical documentation, workflow design, and reporting. Support and assist mentor engineer colleagues and external integrators on projects. Ensure all Health & Safety requirements are met. What They Are Looking For: 5+ years of experience in broadcast television, preferably in Outside Broadcast (OB). Experience with routers, switchers, tally systems, multiviewers, cameras, lenses, and CCUs. Knowledge of EVS equipment (LSM, X-File, X-Hub, IP Director). Strong understanding of radio, television transmission, and IT networking. Familiarity with Cisco Switches & IP-based broadcast technology (preferred). Ability to work flexible hours, travel, and adapt to fast-paced environments. As an Assistant Engineer in the Engineering Department, you will be playing a crucial role in supporting the Engineering Manager to ensure the seamless operations of daily Engineering activities. Your responsibilities will include setting up, configuring, operating, and maintaining a diverse range of electronic equipment used in outside broadcasting production, such as HD Video, UHD Video, Audio, and Communication Equipment. Additionally, you will need to demonstrate proficiency in utilizing RF equipment and antenna systems. Troubleshooting broadcasting equipment to a system level and effectively communicating and reporting issues to the office and manufacturers will be a key aspect of your role. You will actively participate in technical and production meetings to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and plan and organize work assignments both in the office and at event locations. Sharing your expertise by conducting training for Assistant Broadcast Engineers and keeping equipment updated with the latest software releases will also be part of your responsibilities. You will be involved in project work from conducting site surveys to delivering results in a professional and timely manner. Ensuring that technical equipment and systems are maintained at the required safety and technical standards with minimal disruption to operational activities will be essential. Being open to learning and adapting to new technologies used by NEP INDIA, directing and managing assistant engineers, drafting technical reports, designing engineering workflows, and preparing technical documents for projects are other important duties you will be performing. In terms of requirements, you should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in Live sports Broadcasting and related fields. Expertise in Baseband Routing & Switching, Broadcast IP Environment, CCNA certification in Routing & Switching, familiarity with various broadcasting equipment and systems, including EVS equipment, Audio Mixers, and a good understanding of radio, television, and transmission systems are essential. Your role will involve flexibility in work hours, frequent outstation travel for projects, and the willingness to take on any assigned roles within the Engineering Department or NEP Group.
