Server Systems Performance Architect AMD s Server Performance Group at Bangalore is looking for a Systems Performance Architect to help optimize the performance of next-generation servers on Virtualized and Secure (AMD SEV) Systems. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Drive AMD s continued performance leadership on modern server workloads on virtualized and secure systems. Optimize key workloads on AMD servers by identifying performance opportunities across the software stack applications, operating system and hypervisors and hardware Develop deep expertise in AMD server microarchitecture to propose hardware/software co-optimization solutions. Analyze real-world server workloads under virtualization and AMD SEV on cutting-edge hardware; collaborate with developers/designers to productize and upstream improvements. Contribute to innovations in high performance, secure and virtualized computing environments of the future PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Strong background in Computer Architecture and Operating Systems Hypervisors and x86-64 virtualization Hardware performance counter monitoring and performance profiling Linux kernel Performance measurement, performance debug and characterization S trong programming skills across C/C++/Python or similar. Lead Software System Design Engineer THE ROLE: AMD is looking for an experienced engineer for an exciting role in Server CPU software development team. This person will be a member of a core team and will work with the latest hardware and software technology. The person will interact closely with key AMD technical experts to ensure the best possible performance and results on AMD platforms. THE PERSON: The successful candidate for this position will be interacting with software and hardware technologists working across many locations. This is a great opportunity to work as a part of highly regarded team to deliver leading edge solutions. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop cryptographic algorithms, develop unit test & code-reviews. Continuous improvement of existing/new algorithms with new ideas for different AMD s zen architectures. Analyze and solve performance, scalability bottlenecks when code is running on multi-core, multi-node deployments. Innovate and publish papers, patents and participate in technical conferences to advance AMD technologies. PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Good understanding of cryptographic mathematics. Strong algorithmic and mathematical skills. Knowledge in Cryptography algorithms AES, SHA, RSA and EC. Work experience with OpenSSL code and FIPS certification. Experience in identifying performance bottlenecks and designing/implementing optimizations to reduce analyzed bottlenecks. Experience in x86 (or other architecture based) optimizations. Understanding of Cache sub-system, Instruction Set Architecture, pipeline (for any CPU). Bonus skills: Experience on x86 assembly/intrinsic programming (vector/SIMD) Knowledge of one or more CPU Profiling tools.
