As a Software Developer for 5G CU at Airspan, you will be responsible for designing and developing innovative products and features on a virtualized architecture, with a focus on 5G-CU. Your role will involve integrating CU with other parts of our products, debugging and fixing customer issues, and working in an Agile system. You will collaborate closely with System Engineers, Architects, and other R&D teams to ensure the successful delivery of our 5G solutions. To excel in this role, you should possess good knowledge and experience in developing 5G-CU systems such as CUCP, CUUP, NGAP, XnAP, E1AP, F1AP, RRC, and PDCP. Additionally, familiarity with developing 4G systems (Layer 3) including RRC, PDCP, S1AP, X2AP, and NRT is required. Knowledge of E1AP, F1AP 3GPP Specifications and working knowledge of C/C++ are essential. Experience with 4G/5G Layer 3 Procedures like Handover, Measurements, Re-Establishment, and Mobility will be advantageous. You should have good programming and debugging skills on Linux-based targets, a solid understanding of IPC, Process, Threads, and Multithreading Concepts. Key components developed by the Wireless R&D team have been successfully deployed and commissioned across three continents. We are actively engaged in the 5G ecosystem in India and have made significant contributions to India's standardization efforts in 3GPP through TSDSI. The wireless team holds over 100 patents, and as a member of this team, you will be involved in developing products for next-generation wireless systems. Your role as a Senior Engineer will involve contributing to product development and delivery, encompassing planning, requirement analysis, design, implementation, validation, verification, and field testing. You will analyze and prioritize various features for different sub-systems to ensure synchronized system delivery in a phased manner. As an experienced technical Subject Matter Expert or R&D Architect, you must possess 5G/4G RAN product development experience. Your responsibilities will include independently architecting and designing systems and sub-systems and successfully deploying them in 4G/5G networks. Your knowledge should encompass areas such as RAN, oRAN, dis-aggregated RAN architecture, CU software, CU OAM, and virtualization technologies. You should also have a good understanding of ORAN interfaces and have experience working on x86 and ARM architectures. Hands-on experience with protocols such as RRC, NG-AP, X2AP, XnAP, F1AP, RRM, OAM, PDCP, NGC, NG-U, and SDAP is essential. Additionally, you should be familiar with YANG model, Netconf, and ONAP protocols. Your role will involve working on complete data path design and implementation, buffer management, DPDK implementations/optimizations, security algorithms, and end-to-end procedures. You should also have experience with ARM architecture, threads, microservice architecture, and be able to optimize threads, memory, cores, and hardware resources for performance enhancements. Experience in designing and implementing SA, NSA, and NR-DC, CA features is required. Proficiency in C/C++ software design and development is a must. You should also have hands-on experience with different test tools and simulators, being able to script test cases using various scripts. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential, as well as the ability to mentor other engineers in the team. You should have experience working with teams using agile software development methodologies, CI/CD, Scrum, and SAFe. Additionally, you should have excellent problem-solving skills, the ability to lead technical task forces, conduct design workshops, manage requirements, and possess coordination skills.
