X-Ray Technician

• Job Responsibility :

1. To be responsible for proper care, maintenance of X-ray machine and CR System.

2. To responsible for indenting, accounting and safe custody of the films.

3. To check up daily entries made in the main X-ray register and put up the same for the perusal of the Head of the Radiology department.

4. TLD card should wear properly.

5. To check daily before starting daily work that the X-ray machines and their components are properly cleaned and X-ray tables and linen etc. are changed, neat and clean.

6. To study the requisition and check carefully, before taking the X-ray

7. To ensure that the X-ray is taken of the correct part of the body as indicated in the requisition slip.

8. To write the name and number on each film after they have dried.

9. To keep abreast of various rules and regulations, regarding charges for different X-ray examinations and to make necessary entries in the respective registers.

10. To take proper care of machines and equipment, instruments, furniture in the department.

11. To check the main switch of the electric board and switch on the electric board and switch it off at the completion of the day’s work.

12. To load cassettes with X-ray films.

13. To store unexposed film properly.

14. To keep an account of X-ray films and other supplies

15. To take precautions to protect himself, patient and other workers of the department from the hazardous of radiation.

16. To carry the portable X-ray apparatus to the other departments of the hospital and take the radiograph of the patients who are seriously ill.

17. To perform duty as per duty roster and also attend to emergency duties.

• Prefered Qualifications & Experience :

1. Course related to Radiology (Certificate Course/Diploma/Degree)

2. Freshers can also apply, 1 year of experience is preferred.
