Job Description

X-Ray Technician – Job Description

Responsibilities:

Perform diagnostic X-rays as per doctor’s instructions.
Operate and maintain X-ray equipment safely and efficiently.
Prepare patients for radiological procedures with proper positioning and shielding.
Ensure adherence to radiation safety protocols.
Maintain accurate patient records, films, and reports.
Assist radiologists/physicians in diagnostic procedures.
Ensure proper care, calibration, and maintenance of machines.

Requirements:

Diploma / Degree in Radiography / Medical Imaging Technology (DMIT/BSc MIT/X-Ray Technician course).
Valid certification in radiology / radiography.
Minimum 1–2 years of relevant work experience (freshers may also apply if qualified).
Good communication and patient-handling skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team.
Knowledge of safety protocols and handling of digital X-ray equipment preferred.
