WSO2 API Management Specialist

As a Lead API Architect, you will be responsible for the design, architecture, and deployment of enterprise-grade WSO2 API Manager solutions. Your key responsibilities will include: - Defining and enforcing API governance, security policies, and access controls to ensure the security and integrity of the APIs. - Managing large-scale API ecosystems that handle high transaction volumes to ensure smooth operations. - Guiding migration projects such as Kibana to Grafana, Splunk to Grafana, or API platform upgrades for seamless transitions. - Ensuring observability and monitoring of APIs using tools like Grafana, Elasticsearch, and OpenTelemetry for effective performance tracking. - Optimizing performance, scalability, and fault tolerance of API services to enhance overall efficiency. - Collaborating with business stakeholders and architects to align API strategy with enterprise needs for strategic growth. - Mentoring junior engineers, driving knowledge sharing, and implementing best practices for a cohesive team environment. Qualifications required for this role include: - 3+ years of expertise in WSO2 API Manager, including design, customization, and production deployment. - Strong knowledge of API lifecycle management, throttling, monetization, and security protocols such as OAuth2, JWT, and SAML. - Hands-on experience with WSO2 Enterprise Integrator and WSO2 Identity Server for seamless integration solutions. - Proficiency in Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Git), and scripting languages like Python/Java for API development and automation. - Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) and observability tools (Grafana, Splunk, OpenSearch, ELK) for effective monitoring and management. - Proven track record in large-scale integration projects, preferably in the banking/financial services domain. - Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and team mentoring skills to drive successful project outcomes.
