WSO2 API Management Specialist

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, architecture, and deployment of enterprise-grade WSO2 API Manager solutions.
• Define and enforce API governance, security policies, and access controls.
• Manage large-scale API ecosystems handling high transaction volumes.
• Guide migration projects (e.g., Kibana ? Grafana, Splunk ? Grafana, or API platform upgrades).
• Ensure observability and monitoring of APIs using Grafana, Elasticsearch, OpenTelemetry.
• Optimize performance, scalability, and fault tolerance of API services.
• Work with business stakeholders and architects to align API strategy with enterprise needs.
• Mentor junior engineers, drive knowledge sharing and best practices.
  

Required Skills

• 3+ years expertise in WSO2 API Manager (design, customization, and production deployment).
• Strong knowledge of API lifecycle management, throttling, monetization, and security protocols (OAuth2, JWT, SAML, etc.).
• Hands-on with WSO2 Enterprise Integrator and WSO2 Identity Server.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, Jenkins, Git.
• Proficiency in Python/Java for API development, monitoring automation, and data pipelines.
• Experience in cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) and observability tools (Grafana, Splunk, OpenSearch, ELK).
• Proven track record in large-scale integration projects (banking/financial services domain preferred).
• Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and team mentoring skills.
