As a QA/QC Engineer specializing in Welding & Coating, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and compliance of welding and coating activities within the oil & gas industry. With a Bachelor's or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering and at least 6 years of experience in quality control and assurance roles, you will play a crucial role in maintaining high standards of quality throughout the project lifecycle. Your primary duties will include preparing Quality Plans, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), and Quality Procedures for equipment overhauling and maintenance activities. You will be tasked with monitoring contractors" welding activities, inspections, and tests in accordance with approved Quality Plans and procedures. Conducting in-process inspections, managing welders" qualification tests, and reviewing material certificates will also be key responsibilities to ensure compliance with specifications and industry standards. Your role will involve overseeing the storage and handling of welding consumables, conducting inspections of welding processes, weld joints, and coating applications, and reviewing the quality of site materials. Additionally, you will be required to inspect coating applications to ensure they meet project specifications, industry standards, and international codes. To excel in this role, you must possess in-depth knowledge of QA/QC practices in welding and coating, strong analytical and documentation skills, and effective communication abilities to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
