Welding Inspector: 1. Qualification : BE/ Diploma in Mechanical / Welding 2. Certification : ISO 9712 Visual Testing (attached 9712 VT certificate for reference) 3. Experience: Min 5yrs in Inspection of welds. 4. Job Description for Welding Inspector: 4.1 Good Knowledge in ISO and AWS Welding codes shall understand WPS, PQR and WPQR. 4.2 Good Knowledge in process like GTAW, GMAW & RSW process. 4.3 Good Knowledge in metallurgical behaviour of CS, SS & Aluminium; 4.4 Should be able to guide welders and improve weld quality in production parts. 4.5 Should be able read & understand weld symbols as per AWS and ISO standards. 4.6 Maintain welder Grape chart and identify underperformed welder put them for training. 4.7 Ensure welders are following WPS and carry out weld inspection for production parts. 4.8 Support IWE in Welding Qualification, Internal process and customer Audits. 4.9 Train other In process welding Inspectors for inspecting production jobs ( Including welders for self-inspection). 4.10 Carry out DPT for suspected welds, witness welding reworks are performed as per.written procedure. 4.11 Weld visual inspection with ASNT level 2 certification will be added advantage.
