Review requirement specifications and work along with requirements team to resolve issues in the specification and eventually signoff the specification. . Create documentations for high level design, detailed design and test plans for the software modules. . Working with cross-functional teams to develop the necessary software modules to build WiFi capabilities for In-Vehicle infotainment systems in android platforms. . Interact with cross-functional team within Visteon and as well as with external teams like chipset vendors to resolve dependencies during development and fixing issues across multiple layers of WiFi stack. . Run static analysis on the software components, analyze and fix errors. . Interact with hardware teams for board bring up activities, calibration activities and to root cause hardware level issues. . Perform root cause analysis for the issues observed and resolve issues during development, stability, and maintenance phase of the project. . Develop and integrate tools/scripts to automate testing. . Run development testing and document the test reports. . Create efficient reports with respect to software development, issues resolution and testing. Key Performance Indicators: . Good Knowledge in WiFi features in In-Vehicle Infotainment systems. . Strong in C, C++, Java programming skills. . Working experience in Android AOSP based infotainment and build environments. . Development experience in 802.11n, 802.11ac and 802.11ax standards and security standards like WPA2, WPA3 . Development experience in building WIFI Access point, WIFI Station and WIFI direct features. . Good understanding of Android network stack . Proficient in capturing WiFi sniffer logs and analyzing pcap files. . Role Overview: Lead the design, development, and integration of automotive-grade WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity solutions for infotainment, telematics, and connected vehicle systems. Drive technical strategy, ensure compliance with automotive standards, and manage cross-functional collaboration to deliver robust, secure wireless communication. Key Responsibilities: Lead end-to-end development and integration of WiFi (802.11 a/b/g/n/ac) and Bluetooth (Classic, BLE) connectivity modules. Define wireless architecture and strategies aligned with automotive standards (ISO 26262, ASPICE, cybersecurity). Oversee implementation of wireless protocols, security features, and ensure performance, reliability, and safety. Lead validation, interoperability, performance, and security testing of connectivity features. Manage risks, troubleshoot issues, and drive continuous process improvements. Mentor team members and collaborate with system architects, software, hardware, and testing teams. Interface with suppliers and manage certification and integration of wireless modules. Required Qualifications: Bachelors or Masters in EE, CS, or related field. 7+ years in WiFi and Bluetooth protocol stack development and integration, preferably automotive or embedded systems. Deep knowledge of wireless standards (802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth Classic, BLE), security (WPA2/3), and embedded software (C/C++). Experience with automotive standards (ISO 26262, ASPICE) and connectivity platforms. Strong leadership, project management, and stakeholder collaboration skills. Preferred: Experience with automotive infotainment, telematics, ADAS connectivity solutions.
