With over 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst focusing on IT migration, cloud adoption, or workload migration, you will collaborate with business units and IT teams to understand requirements and goals for workload migration. This includes cost optimization, performance improvement, and scalability. You will gather detailed business and technical requirements, analyze current workloads, and document readiness for migration to ensure a comprehensive understanding of applications, data, and infrastructure. Your role will involve assisting in developing migration strategies, defining migration approaches based on business needs and technical feasibility, and supporting the creation of migration roadmaps, timelines, and resource plans. You will identify potential risks and challenges in the migration process, document workload assessments, and map workloads to target environments. As a liaison between business stakeholders, IT, and external vendors, you will communicate migration progress, challenges, and key milestones to ensure stakeholders are informed and aligned with the strategy. You will assess the impact of migration on business processes, collaborate on change management strategies, and support testing efforts to validate workloads in the target environment. Post-migration, you will support activities to ensure workloads are performing as expected, identify optimization opportunities, and deliver expected business value. Documenting the entire migration process, producing regular status reports, and engaging technical and non-technical audiences will be key aspects of your role. Your qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field, along with certifications such as Certified Business Analyst Professional (CBAP), Agile or Scrum certifications, and Cloud certifications (AWS, Azure). Technical skills required for this role include a strong understanding of IT infrastructure, cloud technologies, experience with various migration strategies, IT service management principles, and the ability to document requirements clearly. General skills such as strong interpersonal skills, problem-solving abilities, organizational skills, and adaptability to changing business needs are also essential.
