You will play a critical part in shaping and executing our SEO roadmap, with a particular focus on backlink acquisition and digital PR campaigns that amplify reach and authority. Key Responsibilities Backlink & Digital PR Strategy Develop and execute innovative backlink acquisition strategies, leveraging both traditional outreach and digital PR campaigns. Build and maintain relationships with journalists, publishers, and industry sites to secure high-quality editorial coverage and backlinks. Create compelling content pitches and PR assets that attract earned media placements. On-Page SEO & Content Optimisation Conduct comprehensive SEO audits of content, meta tags, headings, schema, and internal linking structures. Partner with content, design, and development teams to ensure all web content is optimised for both search engines and users. Provide keyword research, topical authority recommendations, and content briefs that align with search intent. Technical SEO Implement best practices to enhance crawlability, indexability, site architecture, and site speed performance. Monitor and resolve technical SEO issues, such as structured data errors, canonicalisation, redirect chains, and duplicate content. Collaborate with developers to ensure SEO is integrated into the site’s technical roadmap. Analytics & Reporting Analyse website performance using SEO tools (Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Moz, Screaming Frog). Track keyword rankings, backlink profile growth, organic traffic trends, and conversion metrics. Produce detailed SEO performance reports and actionable insights for stakeholders. Strategy & Industry Awareness Stay informed on Google algorithm updates, SERP feature trends, and emerging SEO/PR best practices. Continuously test, measure, and refine strategies to remain competitive in organic search. Contribute to cross-functional campaigns, ensuring SEO aligns with paid media, social, and content marketing initiatives. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Computer Science, or related field. 5+ years of hands-on SEO experience with a proven track record in backlinks, on-page optimisation, and technical SEO. Demonstrated success in executing digital PR campaigns that earned high-quality backlinks and media coverage. Strong analytical skills with proficiency in SEO platforms and web analytics tools. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create persuasive outreach and collaborate cross-functionally. Highly detail-oriented, data-driven, and proactive in problem-solving. Must be available to work within Australian business hours.
