As a Senior PMO Manager at HSBC, you will play a crucial role in overseeing project management processes and ensuring the successful implementation of PMO Governance. Your responsibilities will include: - Monitoring project managers" reporting on project status, risks, issues, assumptions, milestones, and dependencies to ensure completeness and quality. - Establishing and implementing methodologies to monitor projects" timescales, risks, issues, assumptions, dependences, milestones, costs, benefits, and change controls. - Providing support for project setup, including facilitating project post-implementation reviews and documenting project artifacts. - Driving quality assurance activities in line with defined Programme or Central PMO processes. - Managing internal communications and training for methodology changes provided by Group Enterprise PMO. - Collating, preparing, and updating financial and resource data to ensure accuracy and relevance. - Engaging with stakeholders to influence actions to address risks, milestone completion, and compliance with the HSBC Change Framework. - Managing, motivating, and developing team members to create a high-performing team. - Preparing governance forums such as Monthly business reviews and Health portfolio checks. - Contributing to business transformation with enhanced best practices, better MI, and processes. - Continuously monitoring projects for risk issues and regulatory compliance and ensuring mitigating actions are in place. Qualifications required for this role include: - High-quality degree-level education. - Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. - Demonstrable experience in a similar role. - Continuing professional development in PMO Management. - Experience in implementing project control standards. - Change management/project management certification (e.g., Prince 2 or APM). - Knowledge of process improvement methodologies (e.g., LEAN, Six Sigma). - Experience working within a formal change methodology/framework. - Strong organizational skills and ability to manage conflicting demands. - Strategic mindset with strong problem-solving skills. - Negotiation and influencing skills. - Self-motivated and able to work independently with a sense of ownership. - Positive, dynamic, and resilient individual open to change. - Securities services product knowledge, SQL/Python, and visualization tools.
