POS-P322 We re seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join a high-impact, new initiative within the Breeze Assistant team at HubSpot. Breeze Assistant is a fully conversational AI chief of staff designed specifically for Go-to-Market (GTM) teams. By integrating frontier AI capabilities with rich data from HubSpot and third-party applications, Breeze provides an AI assistant that fundamentally transforms team collaboration and productivity. As a Senior Engineer on the Breeze Assistant team, you ll do many things and you likely already have experience doing some of them in the past. We are looking for people who: Have a proven track record of delivering high-value projects, including collaborating across multiple teams when needed. Senior Engineers at HubSpot are experienced individual contributors who help drive our product vision forward by collaborating closely with team members and contributing hands-on code. Bring solid backend engineering experience. A strong understanding of technologies like Java, Node.js, MySQL, Kafka, and cloud-native architectures is beneficial. We are looking for candidates who are well-versed in engineering principles and excited to solve challenging problems, rather than deep specialists in any single technology. Have direct experience building new user-facing products from the ground up, ideally including product integrations and complex, data-driven applications. Familiarity or hands-on experience with Generative AI technologies (LLMs, Agents, RAG, etc.) is a strong plus. A demonstrated interest in working on AI-driven products is highly desirable. Demonstrate strong problem-solving and pragmatic engineering skills, balancing immediate needs with longer-term technical architecture. Thrive in dynamic, fast-paced environments and are comfortable adapting to evolving requirements. Understand secure, compliant application development best practices, particularly for data privacy, governance, and API integrations. Make significant contributions to technical decisions and help solve challenges related to context, user interfaces, real-time features, data governance, and application performance.
