Wordpress Developer

Role & responsibilities

• Develop, customize, and maintain WordPress websites using themes and plugins.
  
• Create custom themes and templates using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, and Bootstrap.
  
• Build custom plugins or modify existing plugins based on project requirements.
  
• Optimize website performance including speed, security, SEO structure, and responsiveness.
  
• Integrate third-party APIs, payment gateways, CRMs, and marketing automation tools.
  
• Troubleshoot technical issues and resolve bugs in existing WordPress websites.
  
• Work with page builders like Elementor, WPBakery, Divi, Oxygen, or Gutenberg.
  
• Manage hosting environments, backups, website migration, and DNS configurations.
  
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers, backend developers, and marketing teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
  
• Implement best development practices, clean and reusable code.
  
• Test and ensure cross-browser / cross-device compatibility for all WordPress projects.
  
• Maintain documentation, technical specifications, and version control using Git.
  
• Understand basic SEO and apply on-page optimization techniques where required.
  
• Stay updated with latest WordPress updates, patches, and industry standards.
  

Preferred candidate profile

• 1 to 3 years of hands-on experience in WordPress development.
  
• Strong understanding of WordPress architecture, database structure, and coding standards.
  
• Ability to convert Figma / Adobe XD / PSD designs into responsive WordPress websites.
  
• Experience working with custom themes, page builders, and WooCommerce.
  
• Good understanding of PHP, MySQL, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery.
  
• Experience with cPanel, hosting setup, migration, backup & restore processes.
  
• Knowledge of SEO fundamentals and website performance optimization.
  
• Familiarity with version control systems like Git or Bitbucket is an advantage.
  
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to debug technical issues independently.
  
• Ability to handle multiple projects and work under deadlines with attention to detail.
  
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
  
• Someone who is proactive, self-driven, and eager to learn new technologies.
