WordPress Developer Intern

As a Backend Developer Intern at our Lower Parel, Mumbai location, you will be an integral part of our development team for a period of 03 Months on a Full-Time basis. Your primary responsibility will be to assist in the development, optimization, and maintenance of WordPress-based websites and applications. This role offers a valuable opportunity to gain practical experience in WordPress theme and plugin development, working with PHP, MySQL, and JavaScript, as well as contributing to real-world projects. Your key responsibilities will include collaborating with the team to develop, customize, and maintain WordPress themes and plugins. You will be expected to write clean and efficient PHP code following industry best practices, troubleshoot and optimize WordPress websites for performance and security, and integrate custom features in coordination with designers and front-end developers. Additionally, working with REST APIs, third-party integrations, and ensuring cross-browser compatibility and mobile responsiveness will be part of your daily tasks. To excel in this role, you must possess a strong understanding of PHP, MySQL, and WordPress core functionalities. Prior experience in WordPress theme and plugin development, along with knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery, is essential. Familiarity with custom post types, taxonomies, WordPress hooks, version control systems like Git, and basic website optimization and security practices are also required. Your problem-solving skills, ability to work effectively in a team, and attention to detail will be valuable assets in this role. While not mandatory, additional skills in WooCommerce customization, page builders like Elementor or Gutenberg, Linux server administration, and exposure to React or Vue.js for WordPress headless setups would be advantageous. As for qualifications, a Bachelor's degree or current pursuit in Computer Science, IT, or a related field is preferred. Ideally, you should have 0-1 years of experience in WordPress development, and any portfolio or personal projects showcasing your WordPress and PHP skills would be a definite plus.,
