As a Quality Assurance Engineer at Wolfram, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of custom software applications and workflow solutions developed by the Wolfram Technical Consulting team. By evaluating and testing various aspects of the applications during their development, you will contribute to delivering high-quality solutions to Wolfram customers. You will be responsible for creating detailed and well-structured test plans and test cases, estimating and coordinating testing activities, and executing automation scripts using Wolfram technologies and open source tools. Your role will involve identifying, documenting, and tracking application and technology issues, as well as performing thorough regression testing to ensure resolutions meet quality standards. Collaboration with application developers to enhance custom applications, recommending improvements for product and technology enhancements, and developing application-specific quality assurance metrics will be key aspects of your responsibilities. Additionally, you will stay updated on industry trends, maintain proficiency in software QA methodologies, and contribute to the continuous improvement of the team's processes. To excel in this role, you should possess strong communication skills, a bachelor's degree in a technical field, and hands-on experience in software QA methodologies and tools. Proficiency in English, attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to work on multiple projects while prioritizing tasks are essential qualities for success in this position. Being a great team player and having familiarity with Wolfram Language, various operating systems, programming languages, and software engineering practices will be advantageous.
