Job Title: GST & Compliance Specialist Travel Industry Location: Gurgaon Job Type: Full-time Experience: 5–10 Years in GST, ideally with exposure to travel/tourism industry About the Role We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced GST & Compliance Specialist to oversee indirect taxation, compliance, and financial structuring for our travel agency operations. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of GST laws, place of supply rules, Input Tax Credit (ITC), and export of services within the travel & tourism domain. Key Responsibilities Manage complete GST compliance cycle including GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9/9C filing. Ensure correct classification & tax rates on air tickets, hotels, tour packages, and ancillary services. Reconcile Input Tax Credit (ITC) to maximize eligible credits and prevent losses. Handle export of services (zero-rated supplies) and apply LUT for overseas transactions. Manage Reverse Charge Mechanism (RCM) for payments to foreign consolidators, GDS, or vendors. Advise on billing models (commission vs. service fee vs. bundled packages) to ensure tax efficiency. Represent the company during GST audits and departmental queries; draft replies to notices. Train accounts and billing staff on GST application & invoice structuring. Conduct regular compliance reviews to minimize risks and penalties. Key Requirements Certified GST Practitioner (mandatory). 5–10 years of experience in GST compliance, advisory, and litigation support. Prior exposure to travel industry taxation (airlines, hotels, tour operators) preferred. Strong knowledge of SAC classification, RCM, and ITC rules. Excellent skills in GST software, reconciliation tools, and ERP systems. Strong analytical mindset with ability to simplify complex GST laws for operational teams. Role Description: Financial & Compliance Advisor (Retired Bank Manager) Location: Gurgaon Role Purpose To leverage decades of banking and financial expertise to strengthen the financial backbone of the travel company, ensuring stable growth, compliance, and credibility with financial institutions, suppliers, and customers. Key Responsibilities 1. Financial Planning & Strategy Develop and oversee annual budgets, forecasts, and MIS reports. Advise management on cash flow optimization, working capital, and financial risk. Set up financial KPIs and monitoring frameworks for different business units (reservations, cancellations, customer service, etc.). 2. Banking & Payments Establish and maintain strong banking relationships for loans, credit lines, and merchant accounts. Review and improve payment gateway setup, chargeback management, and reserve negotiations. Support in reconciliation of BSP/IATA/ARC accounts and advise on better transaction handling. 3.
