Your Mission As the Sales Head Pan India, your mission is to drive aggressive, sustainable revenue growth across all regions of India by leading and expanding our sales department. You will be responsible for forging strategic alliances, unlocking significant opportunities in both public (Government/PSU) and private sectors, including the burgeoning digital marketing industries, and elevating Wisefolks as India's premier media and communication partner. Core Responsibilities Pan-India Sales & Revenue Generation Lead the sales department to generate a minimum of 1 Cr+ annual new business within 12 months, with a clear roadmap for scaling. Identify, develop, and convert large-scale opportunities across key sectors: Government, Tourism, IT, FMCG, Media and Entertainment, and the broader Digital Marketing industry. Establish and manage robust sales funnels and pipelines across all regions. Strategic Sales Leadership Develop and execute a comprehensive Pan-India sales strategy and current year growth plan (within 90 days of onboarding). Create and present a 3-year market expansion roadmap for the sales department (within 6 months of onboarding). Lead high-stakes client negotiations and strategic partnerships, ensuring 100% compliance with local regulations. Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing sales team across India. Brand Stewardship Uphold Wisefolks' reputation through flawless public and private sector engagements. Resolve complex client or team escalations efficiently, typically within 24 hours. Operational Synergy Collaborate closely with HQ and project delivery teams to ensure seamless execution of sales commitments (minimum 1% revenue oversight on assigned accounts). Attend and lead critical sales and strategy meetings (virtual/in-person) with a preparedness rate > 95%. 3-Month Working Strategy for Sales Head First 30 Days: Immersion & Assessment Understand Current Landscape: Deep dive into existing sales data, client portfolios (Gov/Private), and market segments. Team Integration: Conduct one-on-one meetings with all sales team members, understanding their strengths, challenges, and regional insights. Stakeholder Alignment: Meet with COO, CEO, HR, and heads of other departments (Creative, Digital, Events, Capacity Building) to understand interdependencies and current processes. Initial Strategy Outline: Begin drafting a preliminary Pan-India sales strategy based on initial findings. Next 30 Days (Days 31-60): Strategy Development & Framework Establishment Detailed Sales Strategy: Finalize the current year's Pan-India sales growth plan, including specific targets, regional allocations, and key initiatives for both private and government sectors. Team Structure & Training: Identify any immediate hiring needs or training gaps within the sales team. Initiate necessary recruitment or development programs. Process Optimization: Review and propose improvements for lead generation, client acquisition, and sales reporting processes. Market Intelligence: Conduct in-depth market research on digital marketing industry trends, competitor analysis, and untapped regional opportunities. Final 30 Days (Days 61-90): Execution Kick-off & 3-Year Roadmap Pilot Initiatives: Launch initial sales campaigns or pilot projects based on the new strategy. Performance Metrics: Establish clear KPIs for the sales team and individual contributors, aligning with overall company goals. 3-Year Market Expansion Roadmap: Present a validated 3-year growth plan with a detailed KPI framework, outlining long-term vision for market penetration and revenue scale across India. Client Engagement: Actively participate in key client pitches and strategic meetings to set the tone for the sales department. Compensation Structure Component Details Performance Linkage Fixed Retainer 70,000/month Paid monthly New Business Commission 5% on first-year revenue of clients you originate Min. deal size: 25L Project Leadership Bonus 1% on revenue of accounts you actively manage Requires min. 20 hrs/month Milestone Incentives Additional bonuses for crossing 2.5Cr/5Cr revenue tiers (e.g., 1 Cr, 1.5 Cr, 2 Cr) Quarterly payout Non-Negotiables Physical Presence: Regular travel across India as required, plus monthly nearest office touchpoint and Quarterly HQ strategy summit (Noida). Compliance Rigor: Zero tolerance for legal/ethical breaches. All public and private sector dealings require documented transparency. Strategy Deliverable: Submit validated Pan-India Sales Strategy and 3-Year Growth Plan by Day 180 with KPI framework. Ideal Profile Proven Pedigree: 8+ years in sales leadership and business development with extensive experience in both Government/PSU and Private sector deal-making across India. Network Capital: A strong rolodex including L1 decision-makers at state entities, central ministries, and key private sector organizations across India. Legal Acumen: Working knowledge of TENDER processes, FTA guidelines, and media/digital marketing regulations. Entrepreneurial DNA: Self-driven leader with the ability to build and scale a sales department, operating effectively across diverse regions. Language Edge: Fluency in English is essential.
