Key Responsibilities Health & Safety Ensure compliance with company HSSE policies, local transport laws, and safety regulations. Conduct regular safety inspections of vehicles, routes, and transport facilities. Identify hazards and carry out risk assessments for employee transportation activities. Investigate road incidents, near misses, and accidents; prepare reports and recommend corrective actions. Ensure drivers are medically fit and follow fatigue management guidelines. Driver & Vehicle Management Monitor driver behavior (speed, seatbelt use, mobile phone usage, etc.). Conduct driver safety briefings, inductions, and refresher trainings. Verify driver licenses, certifications, and compliance with driving hours. Ensure vehicles meet safety standards (seat belts, fire extinguishers, first-aid kits, GPS, etc.). Security Assess route and travel security risks and recommend mitigation measures. Coordinate with security teams during emergencies or incidents involving employee transport. Ensure safe boarding, drop-off, and parking procedures. Environmental Promote eco-friendly driving practices to reduce fuel consumption and emissions. Monitor environmental compliance related to vehicle emissions and waste (oil, parts, etc.). Emergency Response Develop and implement transport emergency response plans. Act as first point of contact during transport-related emergencies. Coordinate evacuation or rescue efforts when required. Documentation & Reporting Maintain HSSE records, inspection reports, incident logs, and compliance checklists. Prepare monthly HSSE performance reports for transport operations. Support internal and external audits. Key Skills & Competencies Strong knowledge of road safety and HSSE standards Risk assessment and incident investigation skills Good communication and training abilities Attention to detail and strong observation skills Ability to work under pressure and respond to emergencies Qualifications & Experience Diploma or Degree in Safety, HSSE, Engineering, or related field 25 years’ experience in transport safety or HSSE role Knowledge of local traffic laws and transport regulations
