As a Software Engineer at Cisco, you will be responsible for designing and developing Control Plane and Data Plane software for Cisco Networking products and Network Security Platforms/Solutions based on AI and AI assist. Your role will involve analyzing requirements and problem statements to create appropriate software designs and solutions, writing detailed Design documents and Functional Specifications, coding and unit testing software components and modules, and working with various identity security methods such as WebAuth and Dot1X. You must have experience with IoT, L2 & L3 / Platform, and Network Security, and be prepared to address customer issues for IIoT or Wireless deployments by analyzing problems and implementing effective solutions. Collaboration with local and remote teams to review Product Requirements Document, SW Functional and Design Specifications, and test plans is essential. Additionally, you should be able to innovate and contribute new ideas that may lead to filing patents and creating IP value for the company. In this role, you are expected to have 11 - 15 years of work experience in real-time embedded systems development, with a demonstrated ability to lead large solutions and features while understanding the entire system/solution. You should have expertise in control plane software, data plane software, data structures, Linux/RTOS/Networking OS internals, or hands-on wireless knowledge on 802.11/ac/ax/be standards. Experience in software development of Network Security protocols, PKI, MacSec, IPSec, OpenSSL, Cryptography, TLS, and Federal Certifications of Network products is crucial. Proficiency in writing quality code in C, understanding Security vulnerabilities and related certifications, and leading high-performance teams are also expected.
