The primary responsibility of this role involves analyzing automotive technologies, including conventional components like powertrain controls, body electrical systems, controller architecture, and connected-telematics v2x/safety/comfort convenience, from the customers" perspective. You will be required to study and analyze the functions, architecture, and integration of these technologies with other electrical and electronics systems. Additionally, you will need to conduct design, cost, weight analysis, and performance evaluation of new technologies, along with providing analysis summary reports and supporting the engineering team. Sharing and releasing benchmarking sheets and analysis summary reports will also be part of your duties. Furthermore, you will be expected to analyze benchmarking ideas for potential implementation in MSIL models. To excel in this role, you should have experience in design, development, and testing in at least one domain area related to engine electrical, body electrical, controllers, connected technologies (telematics), ADAS systems (advance driving assist systems), or comfort and convenience technologies (wireless charging/wireless android auto). A solid understanding of vehicle electrical and electronics system basic functions and integration is essential. You must be capable of evaluating technology in the context of the vehicle, including understanding the hardware, controllers, and sensors used in these technologies. Moreover, familiarity with performance, safety, regulatory requirements, and testing procedures of technology systems/subsystems is crucial. Knowledge of engineering materials, manufacturing processes, tooling, and cost estimation will also be advantageous. Additionally, you should possess root cause analysis skills and be able to develop countermeasures for design/quality issues. Hands-on experience in market issues and the ability to work collaboratively with the engineering team are also desirable. The educational background required for this position is a B.E/B.Tech degree with a specialization in Electrical or Electronics & Communication Engineering at the Graduation/PG level. You should hold a BE/B Tech/M Tech degree in Computer Science/Electronics & Communication/Electrical Engineering from a UGC/AICTE approved college/institute, with 2-4 years of experience in the relevant Tech Industry including wireless & telecom, software, semiconductors, digital/IT, and patent searching, analysis & prosecution experience. It would be desirable if you are a registered patent agent and have a minimum of 3-6 years of working experience with Intellectual Property. You should be proficient in patent search databases such as Derwent Innovation, Orbit, etc., various analytics methodologies, patent classification, SEP standards, and related infringement analysis. Additionally, experience in retrieving legal/prosecution related information from different Patent offices websites would be beneficial. Your experience should encompass Electric Vehicle hardware/software, Vehicular wireless communication systems, vehicular software architecture, connected cars, Battery system, ADAS, Telematics, Vehicle charging system, ECU, Digital applications, etc. Preferably, you should be from the Telecom/Digital/IT industry with IP experience. Key responsibilities would include educating and motivating engineers on the creation and protection of intellectual property, conducting ideation workshops, reviewing ideas with R&D engineers, evaluating ideas for patentability, and performing relevant patent studies on different technologies. You should possess proficiency in Telecom architectures, wireless charging, audio/video technologies, patent classifications, patent databases, and various patent analytics methodologies. Ability to analyze data quantitatively and qualitatively, understanding the Indian Patenting system, proactive development of diverse technology areas, and strong interpersonal skills are essential competencies. Knowledge of Japanese patent law and a good understanding of Automobile technology would be advantageous.,
