As a Hardware & Networking Engineer at our company, you will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and supporting our IT infrastructure, which includes surveillance systems (CCTV), hardware components, and data networks. Your role will involve tasks such as installing, configuring, and maintaining desktop PCs, laptops, printers, and other hardware devices. Additionally, you will be troubleshooting hardware failures, performing repairs or upgrades, and ensuring the availability and reliability of LAN/WAN infrastructure, routers, switches, and firewalls. When it comes to surveillance systems (CCTV), you will be designing, installing, configuring, and maintaining CCTV systems and surveillance solutions. You will need to ensure the continuous operation of surveillance cameras, DVR/NVR systems, monitor video footage, manage data storage/backup protocols, and conduct routine checks and diagnostics on surveillance equipment while maintaining security and privacy compliance of the surveillance infrastructure. In the realm of data networking, you will be setting up and managing wired and wireless networks, implementing and monitoring network security measures, supporting VoIP and other IP-based communication systems, and conducting network performance tests to troubleshoot latency or connectivity issues. It will also be crucial for you to document network configurations and update diagrams regularly to ensure accurate records. To be successful in this role, you should possess a Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Electronics, or a related field, along with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in hardware, networking, and CCTV. Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and routing protocols is essential, as well as hands-on experience with routers, switches, and network tools. Certification in CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or similar will be a plus. You should demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and handle on-site installations or support calls. Preferred skills include experience with structured cabling, cable management, biometric access control systems, remote surveillance access, mobile monitoring apps, and understanding cybersecurity best practices for hardware and network systems. The working conditions for this role may involve office and on-site fieldwork as required, including weekend or after-hours support for urgent issues.
