Role Overview We are seeking a skilled Control Panel Wiring Technician to assemble, wire, and test electrical control panels used in industrial automation, machinery, and infrastructure systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with electrical schematics, wiring standards, and component integration. Key Responsibilities Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout drawings. Perform point-to-point wiring of components such as relays, PLCs, VFDs, I/O modules, and instrumentation. Mount and install electrical components on back panels and enclosures. Route and bundle wires neatly to meet industry wiring standards. Conduct functional and safety testing of completed panels. Troubleshoot wiring issues and correct component malfunctions. Maintain red-line drawings to document changes during fabrication. Communicate effectively with engineers, team leads, and project managers. Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow all safety protocols. Qualifications High school diploma or ITI in Electrical or Electronics; technical certification preferred. 13 years of experience in control panel wiring or electrical assembly. Ability to understand and work from schematics and P&ID diagrams. Familiarity with tools like multimeters, crimpers, wire strippers, and torque drivers. Technical Skills: Reading and interpreting electrical schematics and harness drawings: This is fundamental to understanding the layout and connections of the harness. Wiring Harness Assy process: This includes wire cutting , stripping, crimping and soldering techniques for securely attaching wires to terminals and connectors. Knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems: A broad understanding of how the harness integrates into the larger aircraft system or in army vehicles. Knowledge of wire types, connector systems, and sleeving: Selecting the correct materials for the specific activity. Experience with relevant standards: Familiarity with industry standards like IPC-620-A and aerospace wiring standards Operating hand and power tools: Proficiency in using tools like wire strippers, crimpers, soldering irons, and cable ties.
