As a member of Applied Materials, you will play a crucial role in planning and controlling various production activities such as production control, inventory control, process control, and shop floor control/Material Resources Planning (MRP) integrity. Your responsibilities will include maintaining the SAP work order release schedule to ensure timely delivery of materials to manufacturing and engineering teams. You will also be involved in rescheduling or completing discrete jobs as necessary, as well as analyzing pre-shortages to enhance component availability. Additionally, you will review MRP execution for accuracy, reconcile supply and demand, validate master scheduling and/or PDS requirements, and ensure proper disposition of Engineering Change Orders (ECOs). Conducting regular system maintenance and audits to uphold system accuracy will be part of your routine tasks. Furthermore, you will provide status reports on ECOs and ECRs in progress and participate in floor audits alongside the Finance team to address any work-in-progress (WIP) issues. Collaboration with engineers to manage materials for special engineering projects and potential engagement with work centers for shop floor control activities may also be required. In terms of Inventory Control, you will analyze usage data and stock levels to order parts, maintain inventory levels as per plan, and expedite shortages when necessary. You may also forecast spare parts needs, manage obsolete inventories, and address material variances effectively. Your role will involve participating in identifying root causes and corrective actions from PCI reporting and metrics to drive cycle counting. Demonstrating expanded conceptual knowledge within your discipline and leveraging this expertise to enhance your capabilities will be essential. While you will not have supervisory responsibilities, you will provide informal guidance to new team members, showcasing your leadership potential. Problem-solving skills will be key as you analyze possible solutions using technical experience, judgment, and precedents in straightforward situations. Your work will impact the quality of your own deliverables and that of your team, and you will operate within established guidelines and policies. Moreover, you will effectively communicate complex information to others in clear and concise ways. To qualify for this role, you should have a Bachelor's Degree along with 2-4 years of relevant experience. Fluency in languages and any certifications will be beneficial. This position may involve working the Swing shift in India and occasional travel of up to 10% of the time. Additionally, relocation may be an option for eligible candidates.,
