Position: Senior Systems Administrator Managed Services Operations (Windows) Experience: 8+ Years , Relevant Experience: 5 years ( Mandatory) The Senior Systems Administrator role is responsible for implementation and support of services delivery within the Managed systems services practice to include incident, service and request management, reporting, change management, customer communications, customer documentation, continual service and process improvement, asset warehousing, sourcing and procurement of equipment, and customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities: Leading the design, implementation, and maintenance of Windows server infrastructure Managing Citrix virtual desktop environments and user access Overseeing VMware virtualized environments and ensuring optimal performance Implementing and maintaining data backup and recovery strategies Automating tasks using PowerShell scripting to improve efficiency Collaborating with other IT teams to resolve technical issues Administrator’s Responsibilities: Primary escalation points for the Service Desk on all Server, Storage, Backup and Office 365 issues. Expert knowledge of Windows Server operating systems (2012, 2016, 2019) including Active Directory management, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and DFS Deployment, patching, and configuration of Windows servers in large-scale enterprise environments using various patching tools like SCCM, Kaseya, Tanium, Ivanti, BigFix, Datto RMM. Troubleshooting complex system issues, performance optimization, and capacity planning Provides troubleshooting support for a variety of nightly backup solutions and storage related incidents as needed. Experience with High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) strategies for Windows servers. Installation, configuration, and management of Citrix XenApp/XenDesktop environments for delivering virtual desktops and applications. Expertise in Citrix Provisioning Services, Profile Management, and Access Gateway. Troubleshooting Citrix related issues and optimizing user experience. Ensure that all Service Now incident tickets, change records and service requests are fully documented, planned, resolved, and/or executed on time and per the customer’s expectations and within the agreed Service Level Agreement (SLA) Communicates frequently with Engineers/Architects, Team Leads, Customers, and hardware/software vendors during incident resolution. Deep understanding of VMware ESXi, vCenter Server, and vSphere environments. Creating and managing virtual machines, implementing DRS, HA, and vMotion features. Proficiency in VM migration, storage management, and performance optimization. Advanced PowerShell scripting skills to automate repetitive tasks, manage infrastructure, and streamline system administration. Development of custom PowerShell scripts for system configuration, reporting, and troubleshooting. Administering Office 365: Managing the Office 365 interface, including domains, security groups, users, and licenses Maintaining systems: Maintaining the health of Microsoft Cloud services, including systems, records, and inventories Securing systems: Securing Office 365 and Azure environments from internal and external threats Managing Exchange: Maintaining user mailbox and email settings, including connectivity with Outlook Troubleshooting: Troubleshooting issues, such as mail routing issues Creating user accounts: Creating user accounts, assigning group rights, and creating distribution lists Strong understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, routing, firewalls) Desired Skills and Experience: At least 5 years of operational experience in multiple technologies mentioned below. Window Server administration: Exchange, Active Directory, Server 2008 and 2012 Unix/Linux Server administration Backup administration Basic knowledge of storage systems (EMC, IBM, Hitachi, etc) Clustering solutions: Citrix, VMware, etc Execute basic queries and administrative tasks for MS SQL, helpful Proficient use of all Microsoft Office applications Experience working with an ITIL based ticketing system tool – Service Now helpful Experience with IT monitoring tools and technologies (LogicMonitor, CA Unicenter, Solar Winds, etc) Certifications and Licenses: One or more of the following certifications is required: Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate (AZ 800, AZ 801) VMware Certified Professional (VCP) Nutanix Certified Associate (NCA) Veeam Backup CompTIA A+ / CompTIA Network+ ITIL V4 Foundations Role & responsibilities Preferred candidate profile Perks and benefits
