As a System Administrator, you will be responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining servers, networks, and computer systems. Your role will involve monitoring system performance, resolving issues to ensure uptime and reliability, and managing user accounts, permissions, and access control policies. Additionally, you will maintain and troubleshoot surveillance systems (CCTV/cameras) for operational continuity and support printers and multifunction devices across the office. You will be expected to perform regular backups, disaster recovery testing, and restore operations, as well as apply system updates, patches, and security configurations. It will be essential to maintain documentation for systems, hardware, software licenses, and configurations, and ensure that antivirus, firewall, and endpoint protection solutions are up to date. Supporting users with hardware, software, network, printer, and peripheral issues will also be part of your responsibilities. Monitoring IT assets and inventory, including camera and printer hardware, and coordinating with vendors for maintenance and procurement of IT-related equipment, are key aspects of the role. To excel in this position, you should hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, along with proven experience as a System Administrator or in a similar IT support role. Good knowledge of Windows/Linux systems and network administration is required, as well as experience with CCTV/surveillance system setup and maintenance. Hands-on experience with printers, scanners, and office equipment support is essential, and familiarity with virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V) and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) is considered a plus. A strong understanding of cybersecurity best practices and access controls will be beneficial, along with excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills. Holding relevant certifications such as MCSA, CompTIA, or RHCE is preferred for this role.
