The Software Engineer is part of the Production Support team responsible for supporting and maintaining existing NZ Auto IT systems. This role involves providing level 3 support, managing software configurations, deploying code, implementing data fixes, and addressing process issues. Collaboration with project and software development teams is essential to implement any necessary fixes or improvements in accordance with the SLDC. The position is based in Hyderabad at the India location. Your duties and responsibilities in this role include: System Configuration & Maintenance: - Configure and maintain IT systems to meet business requirements. - Implement minor enhancements and adjustments to existing systems as needed. Production Support: - Provide Level 2/3 support for production issues, troubleshoot complex problems, and perform root-cause analysis. - Address or suggest workarounds for data and process-related issues promptly to minimize operational blockers. Application Management: - Support and enhance existing IT applications and web apps to avoid recurring issues and focus on continuous improvements. - Monitor system logs and data integrity reports, log issues, and coordinate with development teams for enhancements. Change Implementation: - Implement production release processes following documented standard operating procedures and release processes. - Ensure proper documentation and version control for all modifications. Collaboration & Communication: - Work closely with cross-functional teams, including project development, QA, and business operations, to understand issues and propose solutions. - Provide technical guidance and support to junior team members when necessary. Process Improvement: - Identify opportunities for process improvements within production support and optimize workflows. - Contribute to the development and refinement of support procedures and best practices. Requirements for this position include: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience. - 4+ years of software development experience, particularly in web-based development teams. - Strong debugging, triaging, and root cause identification skills. - Experience with Web Development (React or other modern JavaScript frameworks) and the .NET ecosystem. - Good knowledge of relational databases and cloud platforms. - Experience with Agile methodologies, DevOps practices, version control, and collaborative development processes. Basic Qualifications & Competencies: - Excellent communication and presentation skills to articulate technical concepts effectively. - Strong problem-solving aptitude, attention to detail, and proactive issue mitigation. - Ability to work with a diverse team and utilize individual strengths to meet business and project needs.
