Job Summary: We are looking for an experienced VMware and Nutanix Engineer/Administrator to manage and support our virtualized environment. You will be responsible for configuring, monitoring, and maintaining VMware and Nutanix infrastructures, ensuring high availability, and optimizing performance. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of virtualization technologies and a strong background in data centre operations. Key Responsibilities: Administer and support VMware vSphere environments, including vCenter, ESXi, and related tools. Install, configure, and manage Nutanix clusters using Acropolis, AHV, and Prism. Perform regular system monitoring and troubleshooting for VMware and Nutanix infrastructure. Implement, manage, and troubleshoot virtual machines (VMs), storage policies, and networks in VMware environments. Provide ongoing support for storage solutions, including Nutanix Distributed Storage Fabric (DSF). Collaborate with teams to design and implement disaster recovery and backup strategies. Ensure system security by applying patches, updates, and other relevant maintenance tasks. Work on system integration, performance tuning, and automation of operational tasks. Provide troubleshooting and root cause analysis for VMware and Nutanix issues. Create and maintain documentation on the system architecture, configurations, and operational procedures. Provide technical support during troubleshooting, monitoring, and resolving hardware/software issues. Skills and Qualifications: Proven experience with VMware vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, and vSAN technologies. Strong knowledge of Nutanix HCI (Hyper-Converged Infrastructure) platform, Acropolis, AHV, and Prism. Experience with VMware vRealize Suite, VDI (Virtual Desktop Infrastructure), and other VMware solutions is a plus. Familiarity with Nutanix's storage and compute architecture and cloud services. Experience in data center management, server virtualization, and storage optimization. Hands-on experience with automation tools (e.g., Ansible, PowerShell). Solid understanding of networking concepts such as VLANs, TCP/IP, and load balancing. Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to work under pressure. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Certification in VMware (VCP, VCAP) and Nutanix (NCP) is preferred.
