Job Description

As a Windows Validation Engineer at UST, you will be responsible for supporting system-level validation of next-generation platforms. Your role will involve a range of activities including creating Board Setup Packages (BSP), performing performance benchmarking, automating test processes, and collaborating with various engineering teams. Key Responsibilities: - Create Board Setup Packages (BSP) and prepare test beds for new hardware platforms - Author and execute performance benchmarking test cases using industry tools - Perform platform validation focused on BIOS, graphics, and other firmware components - Write Python scripts to automate test execution and improve validation coverage - Manage automated test execution using Azure DevOps pipelines - Flash BIOS, BMC, and other firmware; verify correct integration and operation - Collect logs, analyze system performance, and identify root causes of failures - File and track defects using ticketing systems; follow through to resolution - Set up and maintain test environments including hardware and software configurations - Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to align validation milestones Required Skills: - Windows system debugging and log analysis - Python scripting for test automation - Azure DevOps pipelines - Firmware validation (BIOS, graphics, BMC) Desired Skills: - Experience with performance benchmarking tools - Familiarity with system bring-up and integration testing - Proficient in bug tracking systems (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla) - Strong problem-solving and cross-team collaboration Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field - Minimum 4 years of experience in platform/system validation or test engineering At UST, we believe in values that inspire innovation, champion diversity and inclusion, and place people at the center of everything we do.
