Role & responsibilities Skills: - Device and Deployment: Windows Patching and DeploymentWindows Update Windows Upgrade Windows Licensing(Retail, OEM, MAK, KMS, E3, E5) Autopilot (Preferred) Windows server (2008, 2008 R2, 2012, 2012 R2, 2016, 2019) and Client(Win 7, Win 10) Enterprise level troubleshooting Log analysis with reference to Windows Deployment. Knowledge on: - Windows as a service - Windows updates Troubleshooting: - Windows update - Servicing - Activation - Bit locker -MBAM-Microsoft BitLocker Administration and Monitoring - Imaging (Sysprep, WDS) Mandatory Skills: - - Windows Update - Windows Upgrade - Windows Activation Responsibilities Scope a customer issue by collecting the relevant facts and investigate the problem by doing your own research and by involving other teams as needed. Consult and collaborate with your immediate peers or colleagues around the world and with management and engineering to resolve service issues. Act internally as a customer advocate. Empower customers to find information, self-solve when they decide to, and learn more about Microsoft products, services and support. Advise customers on how to gain additional value from their Microsoft products. Maintain a proactive approach to customer happiness, identifying customer satisfaction concerns and managing customer expectations Strong Experience in following technologies: Installation configuring / OS Upgradation & troubleshooting Windows 2008, Windows 10, Windows 2012 and Windows 2016 in standalone and server environment. OS installation setup phases. Windows patching / Windows servicing - 'windows update' - Troubleshooting patching issues manually & via windows update, plus point if candidate knows CBS architecture & components. Windows activation - understanding and troubleshooting windows activation client/server and KMS (Key management service) - setup / configuration and troubleshooting as well. Bitlocker / MBAM - Basic knowledge of Bitlocker i.e. how does it work, command line parameters and troubleshooting Bitlocker issues. MBAM basic knowledge on setup and configuration, troubleshooting issues in MBAM. MDT / WDS - Basic knowledge on MDT / WDS it's functionality and troubleshooting scenarios. Azure stack HCI strong knowledge and troubleshooting experience required on S2D stack HCI cluster. Good experience required on Installation, configuration , backup and restoration of stack HCI nodes Cluster - Strong Knowledge and experience required for MS Failover Cluster Installation, configuration and troubleshooting of cluster issues. Ability to provide the RCA with the available logs. Windows - Server 2008 till 2022 installation, configuration, and end to end support for OS related issues. Dump file analysing. Patching - Good Experience required in Azure stack HCI OS patching and firmware upgrade for stack HCI nodes. Good Knowledge required on DNS, DHCP and GPO Tools - Good experience required on various MS tools like, Perfmon , procmon and netmon. Scripting Good to have PowerShell scripting knowledge. Process Good Knowledge on ITIL process. Soft Skills Strong communications skills – Excellent spoken and written English communication. Effective, polished interaction with customer to gather information quickly; explain customer responsibilities in resolving issue; communicate next steps and status; and inspire confidence The successful Support Engineer has the drive and intellectual horsepower to resolve difficult customer issues; directly supports customers through telephone, email, and chat services as applicable Demonstrable troubleshooting skills Cross-team collaboration Preferred candidate profile 9+ years of experience in Hyper-v cluster, MS cluster Administration, Hyper-V replication, S2D cluster, Azure stack HCI, Networking, Performance Tuning, Patch Management, Windows Upgrades into production environment, including customer facing or customer support roles. Need to be flexible to work in shifts and work from Office.
