Description
System Administration : - Manage and maintain Windows Server environments, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting. - Perform regular monitoring and performance tuning of systems, including disk management, file permissions, and user/group administration. - Install and troubleshoot operating systems (Windows/Linux), software applications, network printers, and antivirus programs. - Handle physical and virtual server environments, including console management and migrations. Network and Security Management : - Monitor and maintain network servers such as file servers and mail servers (e.g, G-Suite, Office 365, and Outlook configurations). - Implement server hardening and vulnerability fixes to enhance system security. - Troubleshoot and resolve DNS, FTP, Active Directory, GPO, and password/identity management issues. - Manage web hosting solutions using IIS, Apache, Nginx, and control panels like cPanel, Plesk, and Direct Admin. Cloud and Virtualization : - Manage and monitor cloud services like Azure and AWS (if applicable). - Support disaster recovery procedures, including backups and system restoration. System Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving : - Address performance bottlenecks and troubleshoot issues with mail servers, web servers, proxy settings, and various OS configurations (e.g, Ubuntu). - Diagnose and resolve server and application-related problems, ensuring minimal downtime. - Handle spamming, DDoS attacks, and hacking issues efficiently. Automation and Scripting : - Use Shell and PowerShell scripting to automate routine tasks and system processes (desirable). - Contribute to source code management and DevOps practices (if applicable). Collaboration and Support : - Work collaboratively with teams to provide seamless customer support, including shift-based roles if necessary. - Assist in system migrations, upgrades, and server tweaking based on organizational requirements. Documentation and Reporting : - Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, processes, and troubleshooting steps. - Ensure compliance with best practices in system administration and security protocols.
