About the Role Hiring on behalf of a leading data centre enterprise for the role of Windows Server Administrator . This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled IT professional who thrives in high-availability, mission-critical environments and has hands-on expertise with Windows Server systems, Active Directory, and virtualisation platforms. Key Responsibilities Install, configure, and manage Windows Server OS (2012/2016/2019/2022) and related infrastructure. Administer Active Directory , Group Policy , DNS , DHCP , and WSUS . Perform routine maintenance: patch management, system updates, backups, and health checks. Monitor server performance, analyse logs, and ensure data centre stability and uptime. Troubleshoot and resolve system, hardware, and networking issues. Support and maintain virtualised environments (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V). You can implement IT security best practices, including firewall management and access controls. Maintain accurate documentation: SOPs, asset inventories, and configuration logs. Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure upgrades and system migrations. Provide Tier 2/3 technical support and participate in on-call rotations for incident response. Must-Have Qualifications Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or equivalent experience. 3–5 years of experience in Windows Server administration in a production or data center environment. Solid understanding of Active Directory , Group Policies , and core Windows Server features. Familiar with hardware platforms like Dell , HPE , or Lenovo , including iDRAC/iLO tools. Strong PowerShell scripting skills for task automation. Basic knowledge of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP). Experience working with ITIL-aligned incident and change management workflows. Preferred Qualifications Microsoft Certifications : MCSA, MCSE, AZ-800/801. Experience with cloud or hybrid environments (Azure/AWS).
