Role Overview: As a Windows System Administrator at UST, you will be responsible for managing and supporting all aspects of the Windows server infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and security. With your expertise in server management, infrastructure support, performance monitoring, security measures implementation, troubleshooting, patch management, user account management, and documentation, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the stability and efficiency of the server environment. Key Responsibilities: - Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain Windows Server operating systems and related services. - Manage and support all aspects of the Windows server infrastructure, including hardware, software, and networking components. - Monitor server performance, identify bottlenecks, and optimize server resources. - Implement and maintain security measures to protect the server environment from threats. - Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues. - Apply and manage operating system and application patches. - Manage user accounts, permissions, and access control. - Maintain accurate and up-to-date technical documentation. - Diagnose technical issues related to OS, Network & DB. - Script writing knowledge for automation. Qualifications Required: - Minimum one year hands-on working experience in On-premises Data Center. - Experience with different versions of Windows Server (2016, 2019, 2022, etc.) & Dell/SuperMicro Hardware like iDRAC. - Solid understanding of managing Active Directory, including user accounts, groups, and policies. - Experience with Group Policy management. - Knowledge of storage technologies and solutions. - Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python) for automation. - Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. - Knowledge of security best practices and industry standards. - Familiarity with Windows Server Update Services (WSUS), Windows Deployment Services (WDS), Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM). - Should work from Microsoft DC at BLR or HYD (Any one location).
