As a Solution Engineering Project Manager at Siemens Gamesa, you will be fully responsible for the successful execution of Solution Engineering Projects related to Wind Farm Siting and Loads Assessment. Your role will involve performing site assessments and load verifications to determine WTG site suitability. Additionally, you will be tasked with developing and optimizing wind farm layouts, including control strategies, as well as conducting Noise and Shadow flickering analysis. It will be your responsibility to draft customer reports for all suitability assessment related studies. To excel in this role, familiarity with WindPRO is essential. Knowledge of Windographer or equivalent wind resource assessment software is beneficial. Furthermore, experience with Global Mapper or equivalent GIS software, WAsP, WAsP Engineering, WindSim, or other flow modeling packages will be advantageous. Proficiency in IT, particularly with the main Microsoft Office software package (Excel, Word), is required. Fluency in English, both spoken and written, is also necessary. The academic requirement for this position is a B.Sc. in Physics with an M.Sc. in Physics or a B.E./B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering. Candidates from any other discipline will also be considered. Role: Specialist Service Sales (Loads) Location: Chennai Exp: 5-10 years Job purpose As Sales Engineer Upgrades Loads (m/f/d) your target is to simulate the site-specific benefit of our upgrade portfolio, while verifying the structural integrity (mechanical loads) of the installed wind turbines. To do so, you will work in a global and cross-functional team and be the interface between customers, the various Service regions and headquarter functions such as Engineering Load Department and have a direct impact on our business success. Job Description Roles and Responsibilities. PR for Met Mast - Installation, Maintenance, Dismantle services, materials & other WRA related SAP works. Met Mast Supply & services invoices processing on the Work flow portal. Tracking and initiation of Met Mast land lease and caretaker agreement renewal and payment. Liaise with ReNew finance team to ensure timely release of vendor payments. Met Mast material inventory management and Inspection, (manual GRN preparation for materials received from suppliers and reusable materials from dismantle mast. providing details of maintenance-consumed sensors for Goods Issue to the store team, and maintain the sensor stock register timely). Preparing monthly Mast activity status reports & MIS. Ensure that Mast breakdown maintenance is attended within 7 days from date of intimation. Supervise and coordinate with mast vendor for Mast installation, commissioning, and dismantle activity. Troubleshooting of met mast data loggers and sensors of various makes (for e.g. NRG Sym Pro, Ammonit, Kintech etc). Site visit for future Mast location suitability.

Qualification: B.E. Electrical Engineering Experience Level: Minimum of 3 years of experience in Wind Resource, Energy Yield, and Performance Analysis of Wind farms. Hiring Time Frame: Immediate Responsibility: - Responsible for conducting performance analysis of solar PV plants in operation which would essentially include: - Analysis and development of wind resource meteorological files for use in simulation software: Windographer, WASP, Windfarmer, OpenWind and WindSim. - Analysis and development of solar resource meteorological files for use in simulation software for PVsyst / PVlib / SAM / Plant Predict. - Analysis of energy production data from wind projects, including comparison of operating vs. modelled data, downtime analyses. This would be for both wind and solar. - Statistical Analysis of Long-Term Energy Yields - Qualitative and quantitative data analysis using Python and Excel. - Performance Analysis of WTGs, PV arrays, power electronic devices and electrical equipment based on recorded SCADA data. - Technology and Design Optimisation of windfarms, solar PV plants and wind-solar hybrids using analytical methods. - Technology evaluation and detailed review of key equipment forming a windfarm/solar PV plant. - Computing Bill of Quantities from basic designs and layouts - Review test procedures for plant acceptance proposed by the test party and evaluate the performance of wind projects. Required Skills: - Minimum Bachelors degree in engineering (Electrical / Mechanical). - Demonstrated experience in Python, MATLAB and Excel-based data analysis. - 3 years of work experience in wind resource assessment. - Understanding of windfarms, turbine technologies, energy yield analysis using simulation software. - Strong analytical skills and an aptitude for analysing statistical data. - Ability to write and compose clear and accurate reports in English - Knowledge of the Indian wind market. - Ability to identify problems, develop solutions, conduct analysis independently and in collaboration with others. - Proficient use of all Microsoft Office Suite programs. - Drive continuous improvements by identifying deficiencies in existing tools and methods. - Available to travel periodically to remote windfarm and Owner/Customer locations in India or abroad.
