Role: Specialist Service Sales (Loads) Location: Chennai Exp: 5-10 years Job purpose As Sales Engineer Upgrades Loads (m/f/d) your target is to simulate the site-specific benefit of our upgrade portfolio, while verifying the structural integrity (mechanical loads) of the installed wind turbines. To do so, you will work in a global and cross-functional team and be the interface between customers, the various Service regions and headquarter functions such as Engineering Load Department and have a direct impact on our business success. Key accountabilities / Responsibilities: • Re-assessing existing/planned wind farms with an internal tool chain confirming the compatibility of certain upgrades and the turbine specific structural integrity • This task includes assessment of site-specific wind conditions (Wind & site recheck), application of mechanical load mitigation strategies, running bucket approaches, assessing the possibility for lifetime extension, approval processes and writing reports • Support the upgrades sales by creating benefit calculations, driving validation campaigns and initiate the implementation of upgrades • Work together with our global service regions and our after sales colleagues to convince customers and their stakeholders such as grid operators or authorities and enable a successful product sale • Have a measurable impact on the business performance of the global Service business unit • Build up a large network within the company and the industry to be up to date on new technological developments • Represent the team in strategic discussions and development decision meetings Career / Job experience Completed university studies in the field of Engineering (B.E or equivalent) or a Business/Economics degree with a strong technical background • 5 to 10 years of experience in wind & site assessments, mechanical loads department or equal technical service organisations in the wind energy industry • Highly analytical with a holistic approach and strong problem solving skills • Self-driven, focused and pragmatic with demonstrated ability to bring topics to success in a complex environment • Optionally Know-how in wind turbine technology (site assessment, wind turbine control, load calculation, aerodynamics, etc.) • Optionally WindPRO and Python experience • Fluent in English, while German would be an advantage Education and qualification : Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Project Management or related field Excellent Communication skills wind & site assessments, mechanical loads department or equal technical service organisations in the wind energy industry Personal profile / Competencies: Detail-oriented and organized Good team player Adaptable to change Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously Ability to deal with unexpected difficulties Strong technical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite especially Word and Excel Member of global teams, ability to work independently Good comprehensive skills

This would be for both wind and solar. - Statistical Analysis of Long-Term Energy Yields - Qualitative and quantitative data analysis using Python and Excel. - Performance Analysis of WTGs, PV arrays, power electronic devices and electrical equipment based on recorded SCADA data. - Technology and Design Optimisation of windfarms, solar PV plants and wind-solar hybrids using analytical methods. - Technology evaluation and detailed review of key equipment forming a windfarm/solar PV plant. - Computing Bill of Quantities from basic designs and layouts - Review test procedures for plant acceptance proposed by the test party and evaluate the performance of wind projects. Required Skills: - Minimum Bachelors degree in engineering (Electrical / Mechanical). - Demonstrated experience in Python, MATLAB and Excel-based data analysis. - 3 years of work experience in wind resource assessment. - Understanding of windfarms, turbine technologies, energy yield analysis using simulation software. - Strong analytical skills and an aptitude for analysing statistical data. - Ability to write and compose clear and accurate reports in English - Knowledge of the Indian wind market. - Ability to identify problems, develop solutions, conduct analysis independently and in collaboration with others. - Proficient use of all Microsoft Office Suite programs. - Drive continuous improvements by identifying deficiencies in existing tools and methods. - Available to travel periodically to remote windfarm and Owner/Customer locations in India or abroad. Selection process: - Telephonic discussion: Preliminary round of discussion over a call by the company HR. - Test: An online test on basics of wind systems and technical writing skills. - In person meeting: Round of discussion with the domain specialist in Pune office, skype may be preferred for outstation candidates. - HR meeting: Upon shortlisting in initial interview, discussion on remuneration at Pune office. - Director meeting: At Pune office before conclusion.
