As a Senior Design Engineer, you will leverage your 7-10 years of experience in mechanical/industrial product development to lead the creation of concept designs, detailed 3D/2D models, and GA drawings in PTC Creo. Your responsibilities will include defining mechanical specifications, conducting design calculations, and participating in DFMEA/DFX sessions to evaluate manufacturability and reliability. Collaboration will be key in this role as you work alongside cross-functional teams including manufacturing, procurement, quality, and project management. You will also interact with suppliers for part specifications and technical clarifications. Managing design changes via PDM/PLM systems and maintaining up-to-date documentation will be crucial in ensuring a seamless product lifecycle management process. In addition to your technical expertise in tools such as Creo Parametric, Windchill/PDM, and AutoCAD, you will need strong engineering skills including proficiency in GD&T, tolerance stackup, and BOM creation. Your experience in mechanical calculations, exposure to DFMEA, DFX, concurrent engineering, and understanding of material & manufacturing processes will be highly valuable. As a mentor and coordinator, you will lead design reviews, mentor junior engineers, and promote best practices within the team. Your interpersonal skills and leadership abilities will be essential in guiding peers and managing multiple projects effectively. Preferred attributes for this role include experience in industrial machinery or transmission systems domain, a proven track record of cost reduction and manufacturability improvements, exposure to prototyping techniques, and the ability to manage the full product development cycle in concurrent engineering environments.
