Wet End Maintenance Technician L4

Role Overview: You will be responsible for the mechanical maintenance of process and utility equipment at the plant, ensuring smooth operation from raw material receival to finished goods despatch. Your duties will include mechanical maintenance, lubrication, sanitation, troubleshooting, and repair of all machines and equipment. Key Responsibilities: - Follow all safety and compliance policies, procedures, and systems of the company, including the C.A.R.E (Commit, Access, Recognize, Encourage) program. - Support the Simplot Sustainability Strategy and work towards achieving the sustainability targets. - Execute predictive, preventive, and breakdown maintenance jobs as per instructions. - Obtain work permit authorization before starting any maintenance job. - Complete preventive maintenance schedules on time for smooth functioning of process and utility equipment. - Troubleshoot mechanical malfunctions, perform repairs, and optimize machinery efficiency. - Control downtime by informing the production team of preventive maintenance techniques. - Remove defective parts, determine changes in dimensional requirements, and fabricate repairable parts. - Maintain inventory of knives and assist with the setup of cutting systems for production runs. - Document mechanical service records and submit shift log sheet to the shift team leader. - Brief the shift team leader on mechanical maintenance highlights and ensure proper handover of work responsibilities. - Attend shift handover-takeover meetings and participate in company programs, trainings, and initiatives. - Ensure proper food safety sanitation and cleaning procedures of all processing equipment. Qualification Required: - High school diploma or general education degree (GED). - 2 to 8 years of relevant experience in mechanical maintenance. - Must have completed ITI in fitter/mechanical/electrical on a full-time basis from a recognized academic institute approved by UGC or a similar accreditation body. Other Information: - Hands-on experience in troubleshooting technical problems related to production and maintenance. - Experience in greenfield projects is preferred.,
