Position: Founding Engineer – Full Stack Developer Location: Remote Experience: Minimum 3-5 Years (start-up experience preferred) Employment Type: Full-Time Contractor Salary: 90,000 INR / month About WeSimpliFi WeSimpliFi is building an AI-powered platform for financial advisors , with a focus on creating intelligent AI agents that automate paraplanning, cashflow modelling, compliance checks, and client communications. Our mission is to make financial advice accessible, transparent, and scalable by giving advisors cutting-edge tools powered by AI. As one of our earliest engineering hires, you’ll be working hands-on across the stack, building both the product and the infrastructure that powers our AI-first vision. What You’ll Do Build and maintain both frontend (React + Tailwind) and backend (Node.js/Express + PostgreSQL) systems. Develop responsive, user-friendly interfaces with React, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3 . Collaborate with product, design, and AI engineers to deliver new features quickly. Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code while following best practices. Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and security. Help design, test, and maintain databases (PostgreSQL + Prisma) . Support infrastructure management and deployments on Azure (or be ready to learn). Work on AI-powered features , including building and integrating AI agents and LLM APIs . Use AI coding tools (Cursor and Claude Code) daily to accelerate development. Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve technical issues end-to-end. Contribute to shaping the engineering culture and technical roadmap as a founding engineer. Skills We’re Looking For (Must-Have) Strong proficiency in TypeScript & JavaScript (ES6+) . Hands-on experience with React (TSX/JSX, hooks, state management) . Solid understanding of HTML5, CSS3, Tailwind CSS . Experience with Node.js/Express for backend development. Understanding of SQL basics and working with PostgreSQL via Prisma . Ability to work in a fast-paced, ambiguous startup environment . Experience using AI-powered coding tools to boost productivity. Familiarity with Git/GitHub workflows . Bonus Skills (Nice to Have) Experience with Python for backend scripts. Knowledge of JSON, REST APIs, and integrations . Exposure to AI agent frameworks (LangChain, LangGraph, etc.) . Experience with LLM integration (OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Hugging Face) . Understanding of Azure cloud infrastructure (deployments, scaling, monitoring). Database management skills (migrations, indexing, tuning). Familiarity with Next.js or SSR frameworks. Knowledge of UI/UX principles.
