About the Role

We are looking for a seasoned Data Architect with deep expertise in Azure, Databricks, and Power BI to lead the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and innovative data solutions. This is a high-impact, leadership-level opportunity for professionals with a strong understanding of cloud-native data architecture, governance, and visualization best practices.

Key Responsibilities

Architect and design end-to-end data solutions on Azure for data warehousing and big data use cases.

Lead cloud data platform strategy, architecture documentation, and technical design reviews.

Implement data governance, lineage, and compliance using Azure Purview and Unity Catalog.

Build and optimize batch and real-time data pipelines using ADF, Databricks, Spark, Polybase, and Azure Stream Analytics.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams (analysts, developers, architects) to translate business needs into scalable data solutions.

Drive Power BI architecture, including DAX expressions, semantic modeling, dashboard optimization, and advanced visualizations.

Guide CI/CD setup for data and BI workflows (using Azure DevOps/GitHub).

Promote best practices for data security, quality, and performance across solutions.

Stay ahead of trends in Data Fabric, Data Mesh, and other modern architecture paradigms.

Required Skills & Experience

5+ years in a Data Architect role with experience in cloud data platforms (Azure preferred)

Strong experience with Azure services: ADLS, Synapse, Databricks, Azure SQL, ADF, Polybase, Azure Stream Analytics

Expertise in Databricks, including Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, Delta Sharing, and Spark performance tuning

Hands-on with Power BI: advanced DAX, semantic modeling, architecture, and dashboard optimization

Proficient in SQL, Python, PySpark

Knowledge of CI/CD for data solutions, and integration with DevOps

Experience with data modeling tools (conceptual, logical, and physical modeling)

Proven experience creating detailed architecture documentation

Strong communication and business analysis skills

Experience with data governance frameworks, metadata management, and security best practices

Knowledge of Data Mesh and Data Fabric architectures is a plus
