Wellbeing psychologist in IB School

As an IBDP WellBeing Psychologist & Psychology Teacher at our school in Sarjapur, Bangalore, you will have the following key responsibilities: - Teach and Assess IBDP Psychology: - Design and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the IBDP curriculum. - Assess student progress and provide personalized academic support. - Provide Behavioral & Emotional WellBeing Support: - Act as a school counselor offering emotional guidance. - Conduct psychological assessments and design intervention plans for students with behavioral or mental health needs. - Pastoral and Holistic Student Care: - Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external specialists to monitor student welfare. - Organize lifeskills workshops and ensure a nurturing, inclusive environment. - Collaborate & Communicate: - Share progress and strategies with parents and colleagues. - Work with the academic and counseling teams to support student growth. Qualifications required for this role include: - Masters degree in Psychology, Counseling, or Education; additional PG/B.Ed or IB certification preferred. - 2+ years teaching experience in IB IBDP Psychology; counseling experience in a school setting highly desirable. - Strong knowledge of psychological theories and counseling techniques. - Excellent written and verbal communication, empathy, and active listening skills. - Proven ability to manage classroom dynamics and design behavioral interventions. As an ideal candidate, you should possess the following skills & competencies: - Exceptional classroom management and lesson planning ability. - Skilled in conducting one-on-one counseling and facilitating group workshops. - Familiarity with IBDP assessment standards and extended essay support. - Collaborative: able to work with teachers, parents, and outside professionals. - Organized, responsive, and committed to student wellbeing.
