As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer based in Gujarat, Ahmedabad - 382210 Sanathal - Bakroal Ring Road, your main responsibility will be to utilize your 4 to 8 years of experience in Mechanical Designing to contribute to industrial projects. You must possess excellent proficiency in Solid Works and be adept at preparing calculations for proposed machines before creating technical drawings. Your role will involve developing CAD models, including part and assembly drawings, Bill of Materials (BOMs), and support components to facilitate manufacturing, testing, and assembly processes. Proficiency in areas such as Weldment, Sheet Metal, Simulation, Part assembly, and FEA is mandatory for this position. Working closely with engineers and the production team, you will sketch and draw up designs, ensuring factors like tolerance, dimensions, and thermal and structural analysis are considered. In addition, you will be required to design in compliance with company procedures, regulations, and client standards. You will liaise with upper management and construction teams by submitting drawings for review. Your expertise will be crucial during the building and installation process to ensure that machines are constructed according to design specifications. Regular quality assessments on raw materials and outgoing products will be part of your routine to maintain consistency and integrity. Moreover, you will inspect products, disassemble parts for individual inspection, and monitor production operations to ensure adherence to company specifications. Collaboration with third-party vendors, such as CNC cutting and bending system suppliers, will be necessary to verify dimensions and tolerance before accepting parts. Your qualifications should include 4+ years of industrial experience in an engineering role, exceptional communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and a strong knowledge of Solid Works modeling, drawings, and machine design. Mid-level Mechanical Design Engineer with a minimum of 7+ years of work experience in machine design to support design projects. Experience in Industrial Automation Equipment and Machineries such as Concrete Precast machinery and discrete equipment is required. Essential duties and responsibilities: Performs, plans, and/or schedules detailed phases of the Engineering work in a portion of a major project or in a total project of moderate scope. Performs work that involves conventional Engineering practice but may include a variety of complex features such as conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of conventional materials, and difficult coordination requirements. Creates project estimates, product specifications, floor plans, and designs (including options) that meet customer-specific requirements. Experience in CAD data management using PDM / PLM software. Adherence to CAD standards – ISO, ANSI, experience in MBD will be an added advantage. Knowledgeable in selection of mechanical OEM parts (sprockets, belts, etc.). Exposure to machine building, installation and commissioning will be an added advantage. Mandatory Skills: Good understanding of mechanical functions and principles. Ability to follow a prescribed engineering process. 3D CAD software proficiency: SolidWorks (Must) / Inventor (Must) / Creo (added advantage). Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering. Minimum of 7+ years of experience. Experience in OEM’s preferable. Experience with machine Installation / Commissioning / Troubleshooting Key Result Areas: Ability to study, understand existing machine function. Excellent CAD tool skills, experienced in using all the modules in SolidWorks and Autodesk Inventor. Developing manufacturing drawings with GD&T following ISO/ANSI standards.
